Paul Moriarty, Superintendent
This company is a big family and everyone wants to work together to achieve the same goals. Every employee feels special! There is also always the potential for growth here.
See how you can advance.
As a laborer, you will be hands-on in the field. Whether it be rigging pipe, shoveling rock, sweeping sidewalks, or supporting the overall operation, this is a critical position for project success. Regardless of what you aspire to be later in your career, this is the best place to start.
We want to introduce you to Antonio Ramirez. Antonio joined the QE team 13 years ago and has been a devoted player since day one. Antonio began his career as a loader operator on his brother Pablo’s crew - it was here that he learned the “ins and outs” of utility work and was given the opportunity to advance as foreman. Antonio has served as a foreman for the past six years and has progressed within this position from leading water plant repair projects to now more complex sewer projects.
Manny Mejia began his career at QE a little over two years ago. Manny was originally hired as a Heavy Equipment mechanic, but rapidly proved his abilities both in the field and in an administrative capacity. Manny was promoted to QE’s Fleet Maintenance Supervisor six months ago and now oversees all repairs, maintains the required paperwork, and is responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance.
Robbie Emerson joined the QE family a little over four years ago, where he initially worked in the equipment yard prepping concrete for the crusher, loading trucks for the job sites, and completing various other tasks. His potential was quickly noticed, as Robbie continued to learn about the mechanics and capabilities of heavy equipment on each job site. Robbie progressed into QE’s Dispatcher role where he not only coordinates equipment moves but also assists with new purchases.
Matt joined the Quality Enterprises family in May 2014 as an intern while he studied at Florida Gulf Coast University. He earned his degree in civil engineering from FGCU and started estimating small jobs while assisting QE’s senior estimators with the larger projects. Since then, he’s worked his way up to being an estimator and project manager, specializing in water and wastewater treatment plants.
If you have questions about a career opportunity at QE, our culture, or just a general inquiry - please be sure to get in touch with us.
